Are all of your products fragrance free? Read more

All the Simple® products are free from artificial fragrances. However, the Moisturizing Facial Wash and Smoothing Facial Scrub contain essential oils with natural scents that help to cover the base odour of the ingredients used in the products.

Are Simple® products safe to use during pregnancy? Read more

Simple products are safe and effective for all skin types. If you have questions or concerns about using our products during your pregnancy, we recommend consulting your doctor first.

Are there any serious skin conditions associated with having sensitive skin? Read more

Acne, rosacea, and contact dermatitis are three types of skin conditions that are commonly associated with sensitive skin.

Are there certain fabrics that I should avoid wearing that might irritate my skin? Read more

Are there certain things which will aggravate my sensitive skin? Read more

Should I buy a day and night cream, or use a day moisturizer only? Read more

Simple® Protecting Light Moisturizer SPF 15 and Replenishing Rich Moisturizer are specifically designed for use at specific times of the day. Protecting Light Moisturizer with SPF 15 moisturizes the skin for 12 hours and provides UVA/UVB protection. The Replenishing Rich Moisturizer is designed to lock in moisture so your skin is hydrated in the morning.

How do I know if I have oily, dry or combination skin? Read more

If you have dry skin, you will notice areas of dryness all over your face. Dryness will become especially more pronounced during the winter months. Oily skin is just that, oily. Combination skin means that your skin is oily across the T-zone (forehead, nose and chin) and dry in the cheek area.

How long can I keep my Simple® products once they are opened? Read more

We recommended that Simple® products are kept no longer than two years under normal conditions. Exposure to high temperatures or extreme conditions can shorten the lifespan of a product. Each product is tested to ensure that it performs up to the brand standards for a period of two years under normal conditions.

How long has the Simple® brand been manufacturing products? Read more

Our very first products launched in the United Kingdom in 1960 and we have been manufacturing product there ever since.

If I don't wear make-up, do I still need to cleanse my skin twice a day? Read more

Even if you don't wear make-up, your skin is still faced with pollution, dust and bacteria throughout the day. Cleansing is therefore a vital part of your daily skincare regimen as it rids the skin of impurities.

Is it necessary to use a toner after cleansing if I don't have a breakout? Read more

We advise using a toner as it is a treatment in its own right. It conditions the skin and prepares it for other skincare treatments.

Is there a make-up remover that works better for sensitive skin? Read more

My skin is dry in winter, greasy in summer. What skincare regimen should I use? Read more

Should the treatment for sensitive skin depend on whether my skin is oily or dry? Read more

Certain products are designed to meet the needs of a specific skin type while others can be used regardless of skin types. People with dry skin should use a gentle, moisturizing cleanser such as the Simple® Kind To Skin Moisturizing Facial Wash and choose a rich moisturizer like the Simple® Kind To Skin Replenishing Rich Moisturizer. If you have oily skin, you should choose a lighter wash such as Simple® Kind To Skin Refreshing Facial Wash Gel and a lighter lotion such as the Simple® Kind To Skin Hydrating Light Lotion.

How do I know if I have sensitive skin, and what are the common signs? Read more

The common signs of sensitive skin may include, but aren’t limited to the appearance of dry patches, redness and oily patches and incidents of itchiness, irritation and breakouts. The tendency to blush/flush easily is also a sign of sensitive skin.

Hypoallergenic means that this product has been tested under the supervision of a dermatologist and under normal use conditions should not cause allergic reactions on the skin.

What is combination skin? Read more

Exfoliation is the process by which dead surface skin cells are removed to reveal the younger surface skin cells that lay beneath. What should my skin ritual include? What products should I use? Read more

Your daily and nightly skin routine should include at a minimum a cleansing and moisturizing step. We recommend cleansing twice a day using a gentle cleanser such as Simple Kind To Skin Refreshing Facial Wash Gel or the Simple Kind To Skin Moisturizing Facial Wash. We recommend that you moisturize daily. While we offer several Simple moisturizing products, our Simple Kind To Skin Vital Vitamin Day Cream and Night Cream were specifically designed for use at specific times of the day. Vital Vitamin Day Cream with SPF 15 moisturizes the skin for 12 hours and provides UVA/UVB protection. The Vital Vitamin Night Cream locks in moisture during the night so your skin is hydrated in the morning.

When should I start to use eye creams? Read more

The skin around the eyes is delicate and thin, which is why it is usually the first place that you will develop fine lines and wrinkles. It is recommended to start caring for your eyes during your mid-twenties as it is easier to prevent lines than it is to treat them once they have appeared.

Why do I keep getting breakouts? Read more

Sebum, a substance that occurs naturally in your pores, is an ideal food for bacteria normally present in and on your skin.

Pores become blocked with debris and the bacteria multiply, setting the scene for nasty blackheads, whiteheads and breakouts.

Regular cleansing (morning and night) can help to deep clean pores and clean acne-prone skin.

Will I have sensitive skin for the rest of my life or can my skin change? Read more

Some cases of sensitive skin are temporary and manageable; however the majority of sensitive skin conditions are the result of pre-disposed genetics. The appearance of sensitive skin issues can almost always be managed by using the appropriate products and making appropriate lifestyle choices.
